SUMMER WORKSHOP

A one week performance and choreography workshop in the beautiful countryside of Sweden. 

​

Join Julia Ehrstrand to experience a process offering an environment for exploration in creativity, movement, specificity, and audacity. 

Dancers will learn and work within Julia’s movement vocabulary to create a dance piece that is collaboratively driven.

​

The dancers will also have the opportunity to create their own work- curated by Julia Ehrstrand and invited guest artists. An opportunity to grow as a choreographer and as a dancer. The one week process will culminate with a performance in Viksjöfors Town.

All participants will live together in the beautiful lake house in Styggbo and have 24-hour access to the built-in dance studio- lake- sauna and hot tubs.

Daily schedule:

10am-11.30 Class with Julia Ehrstrand 
11.30-12.30pm Workshop Julia
Lunch
Rehearsal 1.30-3.30pm workshop Julia 
Snack/swimming/relaxing 
4.30-5.30 reh Dance Lab *
5.30-6.30 reh Dance Lab *
6.30-7.30 reh Dance Lab * 
7.30-8.30 reh Dance Lab *
8.30- open studio 
Dinner / sauna / hot tub / lake hang / relax until the sunset ( sun 22h per day )

*selected dancers who want to choreograph a piece under curation of Julia and invited guest artists 

Limited space of 12 participants 

Fee: 8000SEK ( including workshop, housing, bedsheets and towels, all
meals and transport from local train or bus station)
