YURIKO HIROURA

Yuriko Hiroura, originated from Tokyo, Japan, is a dance artist based in NYC. Living in NYC since 2009, she spent her first year as an apprentice with Graham ll Ensemble. She was with the original Off Broadway cast of Dragon Spring Phoenix Rise at the Shed. Hiroura has had the privilege of performing works by Akram Khan, Julia Ehrstrand, Guanglei Hui, InTW Studio (Taiwan), LaneCoArts and others which has hugely influenced her approach to movement, work style, and life.
She has appeared at numerous venues and international festivals including Battery Dance Festival, Bryant Park Contemporary Dance, and Mexico FIDCMX.
She holds a certificate with scholarships in Professional Training Program from the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, and a BFA in Dance from Pace University.
